The Office of the Ombudsman was opened 25 June, 1995 in accordance with Part 5, Section 66 (i) and the Ombudsman Act, 1994. The Office of the Ombudsman offers the general public an independent, confidential, impartial service free of cost. The function of the Ombudsman is to investigate complaints against government department and statutory bodies. The recommendations are non-binding.
