She was appointed by resolution passed by the House of\nRepresentatives and the Senate. She holds the post until September 2024.<\/p>\n\n<p>Dr. Blair had been a civil servant for 42 years. During her career, she was a teacher at the All Saints Secondary School from 1973 \u2013 1975 and the Princess Margaret from 1978 \u2013 1996. In that year, she was transferred to the Antigua &amp; Barbuda National Archives as its Director and remained there until 2014. <\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In\n1978, Dr. Blair successfully completed her Bachelors of Arts, with honours,\nfrom the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, specializing in\nHistory:African, West Indian,\nEuropean, North and South American. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She\nalso attained a Diploma in Education from Mona Campus, U.W.I (1987), a Masters\nof Arts Degree (1991), and a Doctor of Philosophy in African Studies from the\nUniversity of Birmingham (1996).&nbsp; In\n1998, she graduated from the University College London, England, with a Masters\nof Arts degree in Archives Administration and Records Management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr.\nBlair retired from the Civil Service in 2014. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Marion Blair is the Ombudsman of Antigua and Barbuda, and has been since 1st September, 2016.
